And apparently, so does the rest of dA.
There is a fine line between artistic nudity and pornography, and I am extremely disappointed in dA's definition of these genres. Yes, the human body is beautiful and should be celebrated, but I don't think dA is the best medium for this. Not to mention that there is a ridiculous double-standard on nudity that is blatantly apparent here- a penis equals ZOMG INAPPROPRIATE!!!!!!!; a vagina- true art. Um, what?

Then there's the fact a photograph of a two women on top of each other, entirely naked, in a clearly sexual position is A-OK by dA standards, but if a man and woman were in the same position-- or heaven forbid two men!-- it would be removed immediately as pornographic.

This type of work CAN be beautifully executed, and is certainly an art it's own right, but is better suited for a personal online portfolio- where the artist can better monitor who is viewing their work. Because as my friend Ash pointed out, there are far too many immature, underaged, children running around dA.

While DA shouldn't have to act as our Mommy, I still think the policy on "offensive materials" needs to be reworded. As it stands, it is far too subjective and because of this, double standards abound- removing valid pieces from the galleries while simultaneously spamming the popular pages with vaginas and women molesting each other and, quite frankly, softcore porn.

So, yes. I *do* in fact love vaginas. And while they are truly masterpieces from God, their portrayal on dA is an insult to women everywhere because they are being favorited and viewed for all the wrong reasons. But if dA chooses to allow this regardless, then allow photographs and sketches of penises as well. Because they deserve love too. And reverse sexism is just as cruel and unjust.
